Pop Quarantine nasce nel 2020, durante il Lockdown . Di colpo ci si è trovati chiusi in casa per dei mesi, spaesati, ma anche con molto tempo a disposizione. Chi si è dato all'arte culinaria, chi allo yoga, chi al bricolage, chi alle serie su netflix, chi si è attaccato sui social per non andare in panico....io, naturalmente, ho preso in mano la mia polaroid.
E' iniziata una sfida che prevedeva ogni giorno di Quarantena un tributo in polaroid ispirato ad un fotografo o artista. Pop Quarantine è diventato così una scusa per parlare dell'essere umano, delle sue fragilità, paure, desideri, ben oltre la situazione contingente del Lockdown. Ed è altrettanto una scusa il fatto di terminare con la fine della Quarantena, perché in realtà questa indagine potrebbe continuare per sempre.

Pop Quarantine was born in 2020, during the Lockdown. Suddenly we found ourselves locked in the house for months, bewildered, but also with a lot of time available. Who has given himself to the culinary art, who to yoga, who to bricolage, who to series on netflix, who is hooked on social media so as not to panic .... I, of course, took my polaroid in hand.
A challenge began which included a Polaroid tribute inspired by a photographer or artist every day of Quarantine. Pop Quarantine has thus become an excuse to talk about the human being, his frailties, fears, desires, well beyond the contingent situation of the Lockdown. And it is also an excuse to end with the end of the Quarantine, because in reality this investigation could continue forever.

Il workshop è dedicato ai possibili medium pittorici come strumenti per manipolare gli scatti in polaroid.
Saranno elaborate durante il corso, alcune tecniche pittoriche su pellicole polaroid.
Pennelli, colori e altri strumenti saranno forniti dall’artista.
La polaroid deve essere intesa come fotografia pienamente in connubio con la pittura e non solo come supporto da dipingere.
Si suggerisce i partecipanti di portare alcuni scatti su cui fare i propri test

The workshop is dedicated to possible pictorial mediums as tools for manipulating Polaroid shots.
Some painting techniques on Polaroid films will be developed during the course.
Brushes, colors and other tools will be provided by the artist.
The polaroid must be understood as a photograph fully in union with painting and not just as a support to be painted.
Participants are advised to bring some shots on which to do their own tests

Questo libro è il risultato di un quinquennio di analisi sui foto-mosaici dove vengono riportate le esperienze nel praticare questo tipo di fotografia.
Il foto mosaico è un’apertura mentale di una visione fotografica che basa la sua essenza sulla scomposizione e ricomposizione di una realtà visiva oggettiva, per trasformarla nella propria interpretazione di quella realtà.
Il libro “ Testo Argomentativo sul Fotomosaico” è uno strumento che mettere nero su bianco non la verità assoluta ma il metodo con cui mi sono approcciato ad essa.
Cerco di offrire al pubblico, la mia visione in questo ambito. le tecniche, la metodologia, gli strumenti utilizzati, esempi di realizzazione. In modo che se qualcuno volesse approfondire questo tipo di argomento con proprie sperimentazione individuali abbia una traccia che fornisca delle indicazione.

This book is the result of a five-year analysis on photo-mosaics where the experiences in practicing this type of photography are reported.
The photo mosaic is a mental opening of a photographic vision that bases its essence on the decomposition and recomposition of an objective visual reality, to transform it into one's own interpretation of that reality.
The book "Argumentative Text on Photomosaic" is a tool that put pen to paper not the absolute truth on this topic but the method with which I approached it.
I try to offer the public my vision in this area. the techniques, the methodology, the tools used, examples of implementation. So that if someone wants to deepen this type of topic with their own individual experimentation, they have a track that provides indications.

LIGHT PAINTED POLAROIDS

Il lightpainting è una tecnica fotografica forse ancora poco conosciuta e certamente poco praticata, nonostante circoli da molti anni. Essendo una tecnica molto sperimentale, che si presta a molteplici tentativi con un’alta probabilità di errore, è naturale che si sia sviluppata maggiormente in digitale che in analogico, ma qualcosa sta cambiando, tanto che ad essa è dedicata una specifica funzionalità di una delle ultime fotocamere prodotte dalla Polaroid.
In questo workshop sarà illustrata il tipo di progettualità necessaria per l’applicazione di questa tecnica alle fotografie istantanee e ne saranno evidenziate le peculiarità sottolineandone il fascino e la grande espressività delle immagini che è possibile creare.
LIGHT PAINTED POLAROIDS

Lightpainting is a photographic technique that is perhaps still little known and certainly not practiced, despite having been around for many years. Being a very experimental technique, which lends itself to multiple attempts with a high probability of error, it is natural that it has developed more in digital than in analogue, but something is changing, so much so that a specific functionality has been introduced in one of the latest cameras produced by Polaroid.
This workshop will illustrate the type of planning required for the application of this technique to instant photographs and its peculiarities will be highlighted, underlining the charm and great expressiveness of the images that can be created.
